An Ocala institution - make sure to try the biscuits and gravy or chicken and dumplins! We've been going here for many years and always enjoy our visit. The food is no frills and the portions are generous. The sweet tea is SWEET, as it should be. The servers are consistently kind and helpful and treat you like family. For a good, home cooked meal at a reasonable price, this is one of the best places around!
Richard's Place is the real deal. Excellent service, quality, and value. Coffee was promptly topped off, and all requests were graciously accomodated. Omelettes were excellent, biscuit and sausage gravy was as good as it gets, and the grits, well none better! The homemade Dumpling Soup was out of this world. Have to come back for lunch next time in Ocala. Happy New Year
I’m in town for a wedding stopped in this little place unbelievable experience excellent breakfast. Excellent people just awesome all around.
Richard's Place is a small restaurant in Ovals, FL. I don't know if they have others anywhere else. This was our first time to eat here. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly faces. Our waitress was great! I ordered the lite breakfast... 1 egg, 2bacon, grits and 1biscuit. Thank that everyone has their idea of what is good and I'll just say this wasn't what I was hoping for. My husband had a three egg sausage omelette with sausage. He did not enjoy it either. That being said, they were busy, friendly and folks seemed to enjoy their meals. I really liked that the waitresses knew many customers by name.
I have eaten here a few times and I highly recommend it. Reminds me of my Sunday breakfast is at Grandma's. The ones I used to give to my children. The food is delicious the atmosphere is great and the service is so sweet and polite. I highly recommend this to everyone. Parking may be a little difficult but it's worth taking the time out to find a spot to park.
