We brought a blanket set out in the grass by the railroad track and had our lunch...
I would have gave him a five-star had they had onion rings..
The burger is real meat not some patty that came from some manufacture that they throw on the grill... I usually don't do mayonnaise on my burger but I want the way they do theirs...I went a Grandpa bear with cheese.. It was a decent burger with mayonnaise and I can't say I've ever said that before..
Corn nuggets & fries were awesome, as well as the hot ham and cheese... Childhood memories came flooding back...
If you're in the Ocala area between 11:00 and a 4:00 stop on in and give the hungry Bear a try

Standard Burger Fair with a nice local atmosphere. That said the burger was nothing special, and for the price I think you probably get more value at somewhere like five guys but it's nice to support a local business otherwise.
Probably would not go back unless I was in a jam and close as they don't have long hours and it's a bit expensive for what you get.
Otherwise a decent experience.

I can’t wait until autumn because the first “not so hot” day of the year means hungry bear season has begun! Sure you can always get it to go, but I believe Hungry Bear is best enjoyed when it is hot and fresh on their little tiny picnic table while people exiting the drive-through stare at you. The peanut butter shake is not to be missed! Come, see why this Ocala staple has survived the test of time

Driving back home to Jacksonville. And decided to visit for lunch and we do not regret it. Yeah we waited a little longer than a fast food place but we didn't expect to get food in 5 mins or less. Food was delicious, and the dum dum pops in the kids meal bags was over the top. Would totally recommend

Haven't been here in 20 yrs.... that must be when they took the picture of their menu that's online..... I'm not sure I thought the single "Baby Bear" that is now $5.99 was worth it. I guess I figured the smallest burger and the smallest milkshake shouldn't cost me $12 for lunch......Would the $4 small fries helped? Probably not.... think I'll give it another 20yrs!
